Ever wanted to know what the evolution of streetwear is? Did you want a video of it? Well here it is. First seen on NECS… never heard of the site before, but if they keep posting about fashion and footwear I will be showing up on that site more often.

Here is a quote from the site about the video:

In “Fashion Forward,” Jessica Lynn guest hosts and talks about streetwear with the two local guys behind Annie Mulz t-shirts – Matthew Osofisan and Michael Toney – and then goes to Karmaloop to put the look together. The guys talk about the evolution of t-shirts, from tie-dye designs in the 60s to band t-shirts of the 70s and 80s to today’s shirts that express pop culture and political and social messages. Matthew and Michael explain how t-shirts are now a form of artistic expression and even give Jessica an insider’s look on a few of their own designs.

The crew then heads to Newbury Street to dive deeper into the streetwear trend at Karmaloop . Freddy Lopez, the store manager, talks about the trend’s roots in the skateboarding culture and then gives Jessica a quick tutorial on “sneakerheads.” That’s the term used to describe people who collect sneakers and, instead of wearing them, keep them “on ice” until they are sold or traded.

I have been working on this for months and I will have a few surprises for my wonderful readers. Foot fashion profiles will include those celebs who show off their kick game. Its also for those on the sneakernets who display their own kick collection. Expect some of the S&S Twitterati to be on here.

Every month, there will be one person that is the focus of the fashion profile. Sneakers and Shoes will follow them and what they are wearing on their feet for a month. We will try to tell you where to get them if the info is available and so on. Yeah, a month is a long time to focus on one person, so the plan is to have some posts under Kicks Collection for those who may be the next Foot Fashion Profile.  To see who will be the first and next foot fashion profile person will be just take a look at the blog. The Foot fashion profiles will be archived there.
