Rihanna (born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20, 1988) is a Bajan singer with musical influences from R&B, pop, reggae and dancehall. Rihanna became worldwide known with chart hits such as “Pon de Replay“, “If It’s Lovin’ That You Want“, “SOS“, “Unfaithful“, and “Break It Off“.
A user asked me on another blog post way back in July about what sneakers is she wearing in this video. Well, I can’t tell which style name it is, but the brand name is Converse.. or maybe Keds… probably Keds since its a Rocawear thing.
Going on the hunch that the Roc is behind this (even though they really look like Converses), I look on Rocawear’s site for current stuff (yes the video is mad old). Nope. Rocawear only showing ProKeds Roc style not the canvas ones.
Went to ProKeds site (totally taken over by Hip Hop with background music by Dame Dash? LOL) . I went to the vintage are (womens first and then men) and no.
Since it can’t be Pro Keds, I am CONVINCED that it must have been Converse. That helps a little cause I can look at the hard to find womens sneakers on Zappos andConverse’s website and I think I see the color…
I think I’m getting close… but I don’t think that is it.
I look again… On Converse.com I believe the sneaker in question is called All Star Tapestry (61.99). It has the gold look that it seems like she is wearing.
I think, unless someone has another idea, that it is the All Star Tapestry.

Now I really, REALLY thought it was these. But I kept replaying (get it? HA) the video and it seems like the sneaker is more gold than anything.
OK.. lets look for something with gold. I think the Chuck Taylor All Star Metallic is the closest I have gotten to finding out what the heck Rihanna is wearing.
On Converse.com of course. I guess Zappos got it too somewhere.
The only problem I have with this is that it seems that the gold is on the toe and the soul of the sneakers, not the main body area. I have not found anything like that yet. It could be just the light hitting it making it look like one of the sneakers I posted up there… but in my opinion the best looking one is the Tapestry. If she wasn’t wearing that, she should have been.
