Air Jordan XX4 (24) Conceived! -From Sneakerfiles.com
What happened to “Air Jordan 23 will be the last one“???
Below is the special edition AJ 23
So wait a minute here… according to Sneakerfiles, the guys at Brand Jordan have completed (or almost completed) work on the Air Jordan 24. Now this is my theory:
- With sneakers, much like cars, you have to start the deign process early… depending on what you are trying to do it could be a 2 to 5 year cycle or more
- They (Brand Jordan) decided to make Air Jordan 23 the last one after they almost finished AJ24 (and any related lifestyle products like sweat pants, jackets and junk)
- They got the new contract with Nike for another 22 years after negotiations and one of the stipulations was to continue with the Air Jordan main line of sneaker (Team Jordan, retros, and special player sneakers were never effected)
Now no one AS OF YET has said that there will be a AJ24… they just said that they have developed it. My personal view of this is that brand Jordan would do better if it did not continue the Micheal Jordan basketball sneaker Air Jordan beyond 23. Going forward will muddy the waters of what is a classic sneaker line. Sure, coninue the team jordan sneakers, player excusives, fusions, retros and even remakes of whatever, but no more Air Jordans.
What they CAN do that will be somewhat respected from the sneaker community is that if the line does continue, it will be straight casual sneakers not made for the court specifically. Air Jordan 24 (since they made it already) can be a limited edition only sold at NikeTowns and whatnot… one colorway only. After that AJ 25-45 (I assume that 45 will be the new number that they will not go beyond) will be casual sneakers that may be played on the court but is really for just chillin. It will be along the lines of Jordans first (and second) retirement type of look (which I hated… so maybe not so much EXACTLY like that).
Anyway, I look forward to hearing what Sneakerfiles and other bloggers) have to say about this.

Those look retarded
OK for you ppl who think that you know anything about MJ OR JB when MJ retired for the first time and became active after one year he came back with what number?? 45 JB has been an active part of nike for about 23 years now and nike has given them a new contract for 22 years so 23+22=45 the last MJ signature shoe.
yea the 23s do look ugly though…but the black and red ones dont look to bad if u wearing so nice lrgs or some ed hardys
when it’ll be released?
when it’ll be release?
these shoes is ight but da 23’s is cute now stop trippin yall
Definitely agree that the 23 should be the last in an iconic line of signature kicks. The Air Jordan should remain a legend – like the McLaren F1…it will always be the one, and only, F1…no matter what McLaren might do with Benz or on it’s own, the F1 had its day of glory, and now it is purely legendary. The car and the shoe(s) are the same – continuing or copying them just to make $$ only defaces a highly valuable brand/design. I don’t want a new McLaren F1, I only want the original – I don’t want the Air Jordan 24, 25, 26,…45; I only want the 1 – 23. Anything else is just over-indulgent and lacking in provence and value.
NO, Air Jordan should continue. I liked 23. I think some of the 23’s are the best looking shoes in the line. Bring on another 20 years; I will buy.
I think jordans are very nice and courtly. Didn’t it?
