In Sneaker News: Air Jordan Hall Of Fame Pack PROBLEMS - Getting Sued???

(wow… never thought that someone would dislike a pack so much…)

EDIT: Hall of Fame Pack is to release September 5 2009 (and one comment on Kicks on Fire that is currently unverified, states that the Hall of Fame pack has been renamed to Moments… again, this is unverified)

It would seem that there is a slight problem with the Hall Of Fame Pack. Some company that I never heard of (Sports Fuzion Inc) is seeking a remedy against Nike because of junk and junk related to some stuff and stuff. I swear I don’t understand the connection between a Hall Of Fame Pack and a company with the word Fuzion in it…

Ok, seriously, Nike deals with sports, Sport fusion deals with… I guess sports, and both are dealing with Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. That is apparently the connection… because somehow you the buyer are going to get very confused that Nike, a sneaker/shoe company, also is somehow related to Sports Fuzion and whatever they do (I refuse to look it up).

But here is the REAL meat of the lawsuit…

If Sports Fusion does have an exclusive contract with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (although an exclusive contract can be voidable if it is considered a monopolization… ok, that law class was taken a while ago lol) then it would have been pretty hard for the basketball hall of fame to do a deal with Nike without breaking the contract. I think I may have to re-read my law book, but it looks like from the face of it that Nike and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame may have colluded and broke the contract with Sports Fusion. Now if it is true (not that I think its Nike’s fault because it would seem that the basketball hall of fame should knew what contracts it is involved with) that the basketball hall of fame had some sort of exclusive contract with Sports Fusion and they broke it to do the deal with Nike (which is what SportsFusion is saying) then that could be a problem for Nike and the Hall of Fame pack.

(this may not happen… not sure if too many people are upset about that)

So, there may be a possibility that there will be NO HALL OF FAME pack. And if you read my Hall of Fame pack criticism post, that may be a good thing.
